New Playground at Mitcham Reserve Opening Soon
Have you been watching the progress of the new nature playground at Mitcham Reserve? It is nearly finished!
City of Mitcham Council consulted the community when choosing a design, and the results overwhelmingly favoured this design which included more nature play and less conventional play.
ย The playground will feature a mixture of nature play, adventure play and standard equipment. Check out these sneak peek photos from the City of Mitcham Facebook page. It’s looking fabulous!
Mitcham Reserve was the original village green, the centre of colonial life in the Mitcham Village. Today this beautiful reserve is a popular place for picnics and events. Brownhill Creek runs through the reserve and there are sheltering trees, playground equipment, public toilets, electric barbecues, and seating.
City of Mitcham Councilย are hoping the playground will be ready in a few weeks. Watch this space!
We canโt wait to see this playground when itโs finished.
