FruChocs Shop Tanunda

The new Flagship FruChocs Shop in Tanunda, Barossa Valley, is the ultimate pit stop for serious chocoholics!

by Brooke Hendry

Our beautiful Barossa Valley – renowned around the world for its outstanding wine, now has its perfect pairing that all chocoholics are going to love.

The iconic South Australian Menz FruChocs have opened a new flagship store in Tanunda in December 2021 – and it’s an experience that needs to be had!

You can find the FruChocs store on Murray Street, and thanks to local artist, Nicky Create, you won’t miss it. On the exterior wall of the store your eyes are instantly drawn to the insta-worthy colourful murals designed by Nicky.

The murals instantly create a sense of fun, and truly set the tone for what’s awaiting you beyond the entrance.

Behold – The Great Wall of FruChocs

As you walk in, you’re greeted by the most beautiful sight – The Great Wall of FruChocs…

A gorgeous, perfectly colour-coded wall of FruChocs deliciousness. Here you’ll find all of the different flavours – quickly sending you into a FruChocs Frenzy!

I actually didn’t realise how many different kinds of FruChocs there were – there’s giant FruChocs, vegan FruChocs, white, milk and dark chocolate FruChocs, original peach and apricot, mango, raspberry…. It was extremely hard to control the urge to just want to grab one of everything to be able to indulge in it all.

But, with control, it means we’ll definitely have to come back again to try the rest of the flavours of these beautiful little balls of SA amazingness. Not that you really need an excuse other than ‘we’re out of FruChocs’ to head straight back.

Give the gift of FruChocs!

At the back of the store, they’ve got some great FruChocs gift options – the perfect way to send a little SA love to someone. (And yes, for those asking for a friend, it’s also perfectly acceptable to send gifts to yourself!).

There’s also an on-site handmade chocolate production area, where you can see the choccies being made.

Never fear – All the Menz Confectionary favourites are here!

Opposite the Great Wall of FruChocs, you’ll find all the other Menz favourites – again, another whole wall of perfectly colour-coded delectability.

Including JeliChocs, Choccy Snakes & Frogs, Bumbles Honeycomb, Violet Crumble, Crown Mints, and more.

The kids absolutely loved the store too. How could they not, with the rainbow walls and the immediate feeling like you’ve stepped into chocolate heaven.
