Moss Piglet is an epic new stage show from Windmill Theatre Company production presented in association with Adelaide Festival Centre.
A microscopic journey takes the stage this October. Tardigrades… perhaps you’ve heard of them? Known affectionately as ‘Water Bears’ or ‘Moss Piglets’, these teeny-tiny creatures have captivated scientists and enthusiasts alike, surviving multiple extinction events and thriving in some of the most extreme conditions imaginable.
From jelly-filled petri dishes to the depths of a volcano to Arctic glaciers to the moon, Windmill explodes the mysteries of the wildly weird tardigrade.
Featuring wicked puppetry, choreography and live video, it’s set to be an epic ride of microscopic proportions.

“These creatures are mind-blowingly amazing. They were amongst the first creatures on Earth and their resilience is incomparable. Everyone needs to know about tardigrades! We wanted to make a show that’s wildly entertaining and reminds kids that being small can be a superpower.”
