Myponga Loop | Great Southern Runs | 12 Mar 2023

myponga loop

The Myponga Loop is a brand new run by Great Southern Runs for 2023.

The long course (19km) is a circumnavigation of Myponga Reservoir, giving participants the unique opportunity to run large sections of trails that are not normally accessible to the public and a crossing of the dam wall whilst closed to traffic. The short course (7km) and kids’ dash (1200m) will be run on the established trails of the Myponga Reservoir Reserve.

The Kids’ Dash will start in the Myponga Reservoir Reserve adjacent to Hansen Street. Runners will follow the shared use trail 600m west to the turnaround point just before Eatts Street. Runners will then retrace their steps for the final dash to glory at the finish line. The Kids’ Dash open to all ages and is free to enter, but make sure to register online in advance.

A medal is available for purchase upon finishing.

The short course starts at $25 and the long course runs start at $50 for registration.
