NAIDOC in the Mall
Celebrate NAIDOC week with the City of Adelaide in Rundle Mall.
Go along to the Gawler Place canopy from 10:30am for an official Kaurna Welcome to Country ceremony followed by the exciting artwork unveiling. Lord Mayor of Adelaide, Sandy Verschoor will officially unveil this year’s inspirational artwork installation by local emerging Aboriginal artist Jamaya Branson. There will then be activities to follow from 11am to 1:30pm.
This is a free event.
Activities:
- Meet Australian animals with Animals Anonymous
- Listen to live music from Nancy Bates and Katie Aspel
- Watch a beading demonstration from local artist, Aunty Steph
- Learn with Life Without Barriers
The 2020 NAIDOC Week theme is “Always Was, Always Will Be.”
