Nano-Mals | Interactive Pocket Pets for Kids | Review
Tiny toys, big personalities – the collectible pets kids can feed, dance with, and style.
Nano-Mals are small, interactive toys that combine the appeal of digital pets with the hands-on fun of fidget play.
Review by Claire Davill, Adaire Prosser, and Carla Caruso
Measuring just 6.9cm, each toy has a light-up heart meter that responds to touch, movement, and different play styles. Kids can feed, dance, flip, and style their Nano-Mal, encouraging imaginative and nurturing play.

Designed to be both collectible and interactive, Nano-Mals also respond to one another and can be customised with textured outfits. They’re now available at Big W, Target, and independent toy stores.
We asked a group of young reviewers to try them out and share their thoughts. Here’s what they had to say…
ALESSIO & SEBASTIAN (12)

“They’re colourful, cute, and full of fun. Playful and interactive, you can make them do all sorts of things, from dancing to sleeping.
The more you interact with them, the higher their heart bars rise.”
ADDIE (9)

“They’re very cute, they’re a fun mix of fidget toy and tamagotchi-style “pet” (but without the stress – they don’t “die”, they just become inactive, and spark up when you interact with them again).
I really like that there’s a silent mode that you can switch to easily.”
MYLES (4) & RILEY (2)

“They make lots of funny noises that make us laugh. They talk to each other when you put them close.”
They are the perfect companion to play with in the car, or together with a friend or sibling.
