Fuel your curiosity these school holidays at the National Motor Museum!

Get ready for a school holiday adventure filled with racing, discovery and motoring fun at the National Motor Museum. Explore Australia’s motoring history, take part in interactive activities and discover fascinating stories behind the vehicles that shaped our journeys.

Scalextric Racing

Are you the next racing champion? Put your driving skills to the test on the National Motor Museum’s large Scalextric slot car track.

Challenge your family and friends as you race iconic vehicles around the track and see who can cross the finish line first. It’s a fun, hands-on experience for budding racers of all ages.

Session dates:

• Sunday 27 September
• Wednesday 30 September
• Friday 2 October
• Sunday 4 October
• Wednesday 7 October
• Sunday 11 October

Sessions held between 11.00am to 2.15pm

Racing sessions are free with museum admission.

LEGO® Trail: Then and Now

Explore the evolution of Australia’s motoring history with the National Motor Museum’s Then and Now LEGO® Trail.

Follow the trail through the museum, find the hidden LEGO® minifigures and uncover the secret word. Once you’ve completed the challenge and entered, you’ll have the chance to win exciting LEGO® prizes.

A fun way for families to explore the museum, discover how vehicles and technology have changed over time, and learn more about Australia’s motoring stories.

Dates: Saturday 26 September to Sunday 11 October 2026
Time: 10.00am – 5.00pm daily
Cost: Free – included with museum admission
