Walk the red carpet and dive into an unforgettable ocean adventure for not one but two National Science Week official short film premieres of new Porci’s Ocean Patrol short films – Little Scientists, Big Blue and Porci Explores Marine Parks.
Little Scientists, Big Blue is a brand-new animated short film created with Fastbreak Films, especially for National Science Week 2026. At the heart of the film is Porci the Porcupine Fish, who guides audiences on an imaginative underwater adventure exploring kelp forests, coral reefs, deep-sea ecosystems, marine wildlife, and the science helping protect our oceans.
Porci Explores Marine Parks is a brand new animated short film created with Fastbreak Films, National Parks and Wildlife Service SA, Parks Australia and the Marine Discovery Centre that explores South Australia’s 26 State and Commonwealth Marine Parks and the science behind them.
Hosted by the Marine Discovery Centre, with National Parks and Wildlife Service SA, this exciting family-friendly event combines animation, marine science, music, and hands-on discovery to inspire the next generation of ocean explorers.

Tickets: $9.90 per person – includes a movie ticket, popcorn and a drink.
This special National Science Week event celebrates science, creativity, curiosity, and the importance of our oceans in a fun and accessible way for children and families.
