Neo- teenLab
‘Neo’ is a new program for 13–17 year olds, proudly presented by The Balnaves Foundation.’Neo’ means new, youthful, fresh, lately and now. It suggests the spirit of the contemporary, so it is an ideal name for the Gallery’s program of activities and talks led by artists and art lovers just for teen audiences.
Teens can now go digital at the Art Gallery of SA at the next ‘Neo’ event and explore the work of Japanese collective, ‘teamLab’. Their work is now in the Gallery’s collection and will inspire the October ‘Neo’. Come and experience a work of art that changes every time you see it melding art, technology and design then contribute to a growing work of art through creative labs with local artists. Learn about virtual reality programming, then create your own miniature world with ‘Neo’ Artist Ambassador Ray Harris.
The program also includes live music and refreshments, and is presented free thanks to The Balnaves Foundation.
The Balnaves Foundation is a private philanthropic organisation established to provide support to charitable enterprises across Australia. The Foundation supports eligible organisations that aim to create a better Australia through education, medicine and the arts, with a focus on young people, the disadvantaged, and Indigenous communities.
