Twenty-Tenty-Two: A New Year’s Eve Family Camping Adventure
The Woodhouse NYE celebration has become somewhat of a tradition, and a firm favourite for families wanting a truly memorable celebration and a camping adventure to remember.
There’s something quite magical about the community created by families on the Woodhouse camping fields that aims to offer a fun and safe environment for like-minded camping and outdoor enthusiasts to come together to celebrate the year that was and welcome in the new year.
There is no minimum number of nights so book just for 31 December, or a night or two either side. You’ll have access to the camping field, amenities, facilities and activities from 9am on your day of arrival to 5pm on your day of departure.
Set up your site then, crawl, climb, swing and splash your way around Challenge Hill, weave your way through The Labyrinth, conquer Cameron’s Climb, have a round or two of Disc Golf… or just curl up under a tree and read a book. The Tube Slide will be open for fast and furious fun (subject to weather) on 31 December and 1 January. They will be turning the sprinklers up a notch for extra spritz.
On NYE, settle in for a family movie followed by a live stream of fireworks on the Scouts SA big screen. Then head back to your campsite to gaze up at the shooting stars (nature’s fireworks) and ring in the new year with old friends and new.
On arrival, there will be staff to provide tips on where to camp as there will be a quiet zone and areas for those staying up until midnight.
Woodhouse limit the number of campers to ensure plenty of space between tents, so bookings are essential.
