Nursery

By Sally Chance Dance

Presented by Adelaide Festival Centre in association with the State Library of South Australia

Commissioned in association with Out of the Box Festival, QPAC. Produced by Insite Arts.

Enter the Nursery, a safe and special play space where delight is devised moment by moment and where babies and performers create beauty and a sense of connection together. Presented by two dancers and a musician and developed through extensive research into the ways in which babies and their adults tune into one another, Nursery offers an immersive experience, carefully designed to invite babies’ investigation of the people, objects, movements, sounds and wordscapes within it.

Nursery brings together artists from Sally Chance’s previous work, This [Baby] Life, and continues Sally’s exploration of the aesthetic implications of the ways in which babies and their adults tune in to one another.

Nursery is a choreographed work with live music and specially designed objects which creates a welcoming and gentle interactive theatre experience for babies.

Ticket cost is $20.00 for 1 Adult & 1 Child   | Duration: 40 minutes
