South Australian Department for Education Launches FREE Online Learning Resource

The South Australian Department for Education has created “Our Learning SA”, a new resource for all South Australian families with children from preschool age right through to primary and secondary school-aged children. This includes resources for those undertaking SACE 1 and SACE 2.

This is an excellent initiative for families who are currently choosing to educate their children at home due to the current COVID-19 crisis.

The “Our Learning SA” website is designed to support students, families and teachers for continued learning between school and home. The content is aligned to the Early Years Framework and the Australian Curriculum.

Virtual Classrooms

Teachers can now create an online learning space to deliver live video lessons for students that aren’t in the classroom. The new initiative can be used by all South Australian public school teachers.

The Our Learning SA site contains links to websites, lessons and educational games across a range of subjects including English, Health and Physical Education, Humanities and Social Sciences, Languages, Mathematics, Science, Technologies and The Arts.

The website also provides guidance about setting up a learning environment at home, creating routines, communicating with your child’s school and teachers, plus tips for maintaining health and well-being.
