Explore and uncover treasured tales of Adelaide

Explore the Adelaide Park Lands for a chance to win a share of $3,000 in prizes, including a lifetime Adelaide Zoo membership. 

This City of Adelaide competition is all about getting out and about – you will need to go on a short city adventure to participate.  There are six locations to visit.

Visit each location to find a Treasure Trail question:

1. Red Gum Park / Karrawirra

Red Gum Park / Karrawirra (Park 12), corner of Edwin Smith Avenue and Brougham Place (opposite the Women’s and Children’s Hospital).  Koalas and snakes were once cuddled in this park.

2. River Torrens / Karrawirra Pari

River Torrens / Karrawirra Pari, Elder Park (near the rotunda).  Birdmen once flew over the river.

3.  Light Square / Wauwi

Light Square / Wauwi, along Currie street.  Adelaide is home to the world’s first public park lands.

4.  Victoria Square / Tarntanyangga

Victoria Square / Tarntanyangga, along Reconciliation Plaza.  This square was the first place in the country the Aboriginal flag was flown.

5.  Blue Gum Park / Kurangga (Glover Playspace)

Blue Gum Park / Kurangga (Park 20), Glover Playspace.  Playgrounds once had separate areas for boys and girls.

6. Victoria Park / Pakapakanthi

Victoria Park / Pakapakanthi (Park 16), near corner of Halifax Street and East Terrace.  There is a dragon in this park.

How to Enter:

  1. Use the interactive treasure map to find a location to visit.
  2. Visit a location and find the Treasure Trail sign. The sign will share an amazing fact and a fun question.
  3. Submit your answer via the City of Adelaide website.

Competition closes Tuesday 1 September 2020.  Each correct answer is equal to one entry, answer all six questions for more chances to win.  See the City of Adelaide website to view the prizes on offer along with the competition terms and conditions.
