Paul Dabek – Encore! | Adelaide Fringe Review

Paul Dabek brings his lightning-sharp wit and mesmerising magic to the stage in this show for adults. If you loved The I Hate Children Children’s Show, you will also appreciate Paul’s sense of humour in this hilarious show.

Paul is self-deprecating and very honest. If you take yourself too seriously, this may not be the show for you. However, if you can cope with your chinos and matching loafers forming the basis for Paul’s next observation to share with all the audience you will find this show very funny.

Half-comedy, half-magic, Paul is a master at improvisation. Walk in late to the show and you can expect to be not only personally greeted by Paul as you sit down, but also become the material for his next set of jokes.

Paul is well-practiced at performing seamless magic tricks that will leave you intrigued. The most impressive magic trick involved a $20 note being handed over by an audience member, only to reappear inside an unpeeled banana that had spent the entire show hidden inside a red box.

This is NOT a show for kids; there are a few themes not suitable for kids, plus some swearing.

Make sure you bring a good sense of humour with you and you will have a ball and find yourself mystified by Paul’s magic tricks and laughing at his hilarious comedic routine.
