EDITOR’S NOTE 24 OCTOBER 2025: EVENT CANCELLED – due to advice from a representative at BOM and the weather system looking unstable with possible thunderstorms on Saturday 25 October, the 2025 Prospect Spring Fair has unfortunately been cancelled.

Gather your family, friends and four-legged companions for a day of fun, food, and entertainment at the Prospect Spring Fair.

The Prospect Spring Fair is back and better than ever in 2025, returning to Broadview Oval/Yarnta Tutu yarta on the last Saturday in October.  Whether you’re a thrill-seeker, animal lover, or simply looking for a fun day out, this year’s fair promises something for everyone.

Who will be crowned the fastest sausage dog in the north for 2025? The ever-popular Mini-Dachshund race is back to thrill crowds with its hilarious and heart-pounding action. Last year’s event had 40 sausage dogs battling it out for the title! 

Enjoy a variety of live entertainment and community performances, get up close and personal with adorable animals at the petting farm and nursery, keep the kids busy with amusement rides, sideshow games, face-painting, arts and crafts workshops, and explore vibrant adult and youth market stalls filled with delicious food, drink and unique crafts.

Prospect Spring Fair Highlights:

The return of the Dachshund Mini Dash will see up to 40 sausage dogs race their little hearts out as they compete to be crowned the fastest Dachshund in the North! Their ‘ambassadogs,’ Coco and Honey from Blossom Box Co are excited to promote this mini-event.

Introducing the silliest, yet most delicious new contest for the adult competitive eaters – the Prospect Pie Eating contest. Compete against 10 others to eat a custom 7-inch cream pie made by Muratti Cakes and Gateaux. Fastest pie-eater wins and no hands allowed!

Live music by The Drops (Blackfriars Priory School band), Morgan Bramble, Shindig Addiction, BoomBox Bootscoot and Brazil Nuts Orchestra.

Community performances by Claire Sander School of Dance, Zumba with Cindy, Kildare College and St Gabriels Primary School Enfield.

Community, artisan and market stalls including hand-made and artisan wares, jewellery, local services and community groups, sporting clubs, doggy products and more.

Youth Market stalls including home-made items by young entrepreneurs under 25 years.

Flyball (dog racing) Arena – See a range of dog-breeds race in teams running and jumping over obstacles to retrieve a ball.

Delicious food, drink and dessert vendors.

Kids Entertainment:

Amusement rides, including the Sizzler, Whacky Shack, High Flyer and Tea Cups.

Sideshow games including laughing clowns.

Petting farm and nursery – feed and pet some of your favourite friendly farm animals.

Free kids activities including face painting, airbrush and glitter tattoos, henna body art, caricature drawings, art and craft workshops, nature play, dig a dino, seed bombing workshop, and mini golf course.

Come and Try‘ Area with local sports groups.

Free giant lawn games including epic giant Jenga, corn hole toss, quoits and Connect 4.

Circus Playground with free activities including poi, hula hooping, juggling, flower sticks and more.

SA Metropolitan Fire Service will have one of their big red fire trucks for wannabe firefighters to explore and educate on fire safety.
