The 2019 flu season in Australia has been dubbed a horror season and South Australia has been no exception, with many people wanting to know how they can best protect themselves and their families.
Join the panel of Adelaide experts to address frequently asked questions about the flu, including misconceptions surrounding vaccination and the disease that arises in the winter months.
Hosted by the Research Centre for Infectious Diseases (RCID), their world-renowned expert panel will guide you through the impact that the flu has on the community, how we can halt the spread to the most vulnerable and discuss cutting-edge research into a new and improved vaccine for the flu.

About the Research Centre for Infectious Diseases (RCID)
RCID is located at The University of Adelaide. The centre is a national leader in infectious disease research that covers pathogenesis, vaccine development and drug discovery for some of the most devastating global infectious diseases. RCID has made significant advances in understanding how various bacteria, viruses (hepatitis B & C, Dengue and Zika virus) and parasitic infections (malaria) impact the community and cause disease. They also have a strong commitment to the development of novel vaccine strategies to combat pneumococcal disease and Influenza.
