A concert tribute first for South Australia’s largest cemetery.

South Australian singer and former The Voice contestant, Rachael Leahcar, will perform a touching Mother’s Day Tribute at Centennial Park.

Centennial Park’s free Mother’s Day Tribute Concert will be held in the cemetery’s Jubilee Complex on Wednesday 4 May at 6.30pm until 8.00pm.

More than 300 people are expected to attend the free commemorative event. People of all ages, including young children, are welcome to attend.

Featuring a moving performance by Rachael Leahcar, Centennial Park’s Mother’s Day Tribute will allow families to come together and remember all mothers, grandmothers and great grandmothers now at rest.

Family and friends will have the opportunity to light a candle of remembrance in honour of their loved ones passed in Centennial Park’s Mawson Chapel.

Those unable to attend can submit a personal tribute to the special women in their lives now at rest via Centennial Park’s website here, which will be displayed on the evening.

“We are very pleased to host Rachael Leahcar at our upcoming Mother’s Day Tribute Concert,” said Centennial Park Chief Executive Officer, Ms Janet Miller.
“Mother’s Day is a time to celebrate our mothers while also reflecting on the memories and moments we’ve shared with those special women in our lives that are no longer with us.

“We understand how important it is for families to have a special place where they can remember and reflect on the life of a loved one.

“Our Mother’s Day Tribute Concert is another opportunity for families to come together and listen to the beautiful voice of Rachael and honour the lives of mothers, grandmothers and great grandmothers passed.

“Rachael Leahcar is an extremely gifted artist – her angelic voice and outstanding musical talents will be a fitting tribute to what is a very meaningful and significant occasion.”
