Reynella Christmas Pageant
This year marks the third “twilight Reynella Christmas Pageant”.
The pageant follows along the long tradition of Christmas Pageants that used to be held in Old Reynella, almost a decade ago (although previously a different day, different procession plan etc). It will be a Christmas Family Fun Day – with affordable food, drink and entertainment starting at 4pm in John Reynell Park followed by the actual procession at 5:45 pm.
The procession starts on the corner of Bridge Street and Old Main South Road, Old Reynella. Travelling up the street to the corner of Grant Road, there will be Christmas Carols at the Reynella Neighbourhood Centre.
Highlights include:
- DJ Truck
- Fire twirlers
- Dancers
- Jugglers
- Stilt Walkers
- Belly dancers
- Local groups performing in the parade
- Face painters
- $2 drinks and $2 food items
- Musicians
- Jumpy bouncy castle
- Lucky dip
- Food vendors
- Sausage sizzle
- and more
The event in the park will be decorated this year and there will be speeches from the King and Queen of the Parade, presentations to the sponsors and the procession will be opened by the Mayor of Onkaparinga.
Other groups who join in are Scouts Reynella, Esculent, Commbank, Westpac, many local dance and ballet groups, fitness groups, vintage cars, floats, decorated trucks, Reynella Steel, Southern Timber, Kiwanis, the Reynella Business Association, Nat Cook MP, marching band, bagpipes and many more.
