Santos Tour Down Under | South Australia | 16-25 Jan 2026

The world’s most elite cyclists will return to South Australia in January 2026 to race in the 26th edition of the Santos Tour Down Under.

Adelaide is where global cycling gathers to start each season. It’s a chance for riders to leave their wintry European bases and compete under the summer sun, to earn crucial points and be cheered on by passionate fans.

The dynamic 10-day event will bring elite male and female Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) riders to compete on the streets of Adelaide and regional South Australia in the event known as the southern hemisphere’s largest cycling event.  With a total distance of 1,153.5km, the 2026 stages will feature the longest women’s race ever (394.6km), featuring epic climbs like Willunga Hill and the Corkscrew, plus three brand new stage starts in Willunga, Magill, and Norwood.

Men’s highlights include the return of the prologue, double Corkscrew ascents, and a thrilling new final stage in Stirling.

The Santos Festival of Cycling allows locals and visitors to make the most of South Australia’s buzzing atmosphere, from the City of Adelaide Tour Village and premium experiences, to street parties and family friendly events.  Experience the race from the regions or give the kids a day they won’t forget in the city, starting with the team presentations and a free concert.
