Get ready for a colourful adventure at Adelaide Zoo with Zoo Colours – a FREE self-guided school holiday program!
Visitors to Adelaide Zoo can grab a free activity booklet and set off around the zoo to discover the incredible colours of the animal world. Along the way, you can hunt down colourful clues, uncover fascinating animal facts and collect letters to crack the secret code for your chance to WIN a $100 Zoos SA retail voucher.
There’s even more colourful fun to discover! Families can challenge each other to a Zoo Colour Hunt, unleash your creativity in the Chalk Colour Zone, and take-home fun art activities to keep the creativity going after their zoo adventure.
Zoo Colours is FREE with zoo entry and designed for kids aged 4–14, although the whole family can join in the fun!
Adelaide Zoo is open every day of the school holidays 9:30am – 5pm
Free Flight Bird Show | 11.30am daily on the Central Lawn
Throw out a picnic rug and get the whole family involved in this exciting presentation as a range of species like the Barking Owl and Blue and Gold Macaw soar over your heads.
Get within a whisker and upgrade your visit with an animal experience!

Home to over 2500 animals and 250 species with daily free keeper presentations, a day out at the Zoo is fun for the whole family. Remember, littlies under four years of age can enter the Zoo for free!
