School Strike for Climate Action
Adelaide students will gather at the national ‘School Strike for Climate’ campaign on Friday 30 November 2018 at 11am outside Parliament House on North Terrace to protest the lack of action on climate change.
Protests have been organised in cities and towns across Australia including Cairns, Brisbane, Newcastle, the Sunshine Coast, Sydney, Albury, Lismore, Bowral, the Southern Highlands, Canberra, Melbourne, Hobart, Adelaide and Perth with more coming on line daily.
Anyone and everyone in Adelaide (or anywhere else in Australia) with children/teens in their lives who care about the planet the kids will inherit is encouraged to send the kids or take the kids to the November 30 event with their best climate-action-demanding voices and signs.

About the Movement:
The fast-growing #climatestrike movement was sparked by the actions of school kids in central Victoria who went on strike earlier this month to protest political inaction on climate change and the Adani coal mine. Harriet O’Shea Carre, Milou Albrecht, Callum Bridgefoot and their classmates kicked off the month of action, inspired by 15 year old Swedish student Greta who started striking this year and strikes with other kids every Friday.
Such is the magnitude of the issue the passion and actions of the kids, it has captured the attention of the national and world media already with stories appearing on sites including The Guardian, The Australian, SBS, Australian Geographic, The Daily Mail and enquiries coming in from as far as the New York Times and Deutsche Welle (Germany’s version of the ABC).
