The Adelaide Schützenfest is the largest folk and shooting festival in the Southern Hemisphere!
Adelaide Schützenfest is the largest ethnic festival in the Southern hemisphere and an opportunity to immerse yourself in German culture, with authentic German food from more than 40 stalls, slap dancing performances, cultural sites, souvenirs and much more. Translated from German Schutzenfest means ‘Shooting Festival’ and goes back to its German roots with a traditional Vogel shoot.
Schützenfest 2015 is being held in Rymill Park and there will be 2 entrances. You can enter from Bartels Road or from Rundle Road near the playground. Tickets are available at the gate or you can pre-purchase tickets online.
Schützenfest is a festival for the whole family to enjoy.
Family Zone and Entertainment Stage
For the first time this year there will be a dedicated family friendly zone. Between 12 noon and 4.00pm on Saturday enjoy activities from Splodge with crafty fun for kids and The Amazing Drumming Monkeys will also hit the stage on Saturday followed by the legendary Peter Combe.
