South Australians are invited to share stories of their mums, grandmothers and other women of significance at a Mother’s Day service at Enfield Memorial Park in May.
To be held on the Folland Lawn at Enfield Memorial Park on Sunday 12 May 2019, the Adelaide Cemeteries Authority’s Service of Remembrance will take place from 10.30am until 11am.
Families and friends will be able to reflect and pay tribute to the women in their lives who have passed, as well as those still with us today.
A local celebrant will lead the service, which will include a moving photo tribute and live classical music.
Families are encouraged to submit photos of important women in their lives who are now at rest, as part of the photo tribute segment.
Images can be emailed to events@aca.sa.gov.au or they can be taken to the Enfield Memorial Park Visitors Centre and scanned for inclusion. Tributes must be received by Monday 6 May.
Fresh flowers will be provided for guests to take home, or to place as a tribute.
Complimentary beverages and crepes will be available from 10am. This will be available to visitors to the cemetery and guests attending the service.
“Mother’s Day is a day of celebration, but can be difficult for those who have lost a mother, grandmother or other significant woman,” said Adelaide Cemeteries Authority Chief Executive Officer Mr Robert Pitt. Our Service of Remembrance is an opportunity to pay tribute, commemorate and share stories of mum. We invite South Australian families to join us as we honour all mothers past and present.”
Entry is free and all members of the public are invited to attend.
