Signor Baffo Fringe Show: Adelaide Fringe 2024

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ You’re in for a ‘laugh-o’ with Signor Baffo, his clever culinary comedy will have you genuinely smiling from start to finish! Highly recommended!

Review by Jo Parkinson

When Chef Signor Figaro’s fancy restaurant is left in the hands of bumbling Head of Washing Up, Signor Baffo, it’s easy to see that things are going to get interesting!

If you are looking for a fun, hilarious and interactive family friendly show, look no further then Signor Baffo!

Signor Baffo is a clumsy, well-meaning employee who dreams of one day running the restaurant. After greeting the ‘diners,’ he decides to try on Signor Figaro’s chef uniform and kindly gives us a tour of the kitchen… what could go wrong?!

From thinking kitchen scissors are for cutting fringes “since it’s a fringe show” and playing tennis with spaghetti and meatballs, poor Baffo is totally clueless! He decides to ‘help’ by preparing some of the food on the list that Chef Figaro has left. This is where the fun… and mess begins!

There is never a dull moment, with runaway beans, dishwashing gloves that are hard to get off, a disastrous attempt at making pancakes and a chicken who needs persuading to lay an egg!

The jokes are constant, accents are on point, song and dance numbers are a highlight and the quick wit and improvisation ability of Signor Baffo are outstanding. Being a one-man show, we were so impressed at Signor Baffo’s talent and ability to engage and captivate the audience from start to finish. The tent was full of squeals of laughter, with kids (and adults!) delighting in seeing the mishaps in the kitchen.

Baffo’s humour is slap-stick style which never fails to get a laugh, and the audience participation from both young and old was nicely done.

The other thing we loved about the show, was that the seating was set in a raised, circular fashion so that everybody, including little ones, could easily see. The tent was also airconditioned which was a bonus.

We recommend Signor Baffo for ages 3 and up, and adults will enjoy it as much as the kids.

Do yourself a favour and check out Signor Baffo, we absolutely loved it!
