The HSBC Spanish Film Festival presented by Palace returns with a curated selection of films from Spain, Latin America and beyond.
A curated selection of 32 films will be showing this year across Australian Palace cinemas with the Adelaide festival taking place at the Palace Nova Eastend Cinemas from 14 June – 5 July 2023.
The many highlights include a focus on Women in Filmmaking, featuring the work of seven prominent Spanish and Latin American female directors, a comprehensive Carlos Saura retrospective, a Uruguayan documentary with an Australian connection and much, much more.

The Three Wise Men vs Santa (Reyes contra Santa)

The Three Wise Men (Karra Elejalde, David Verdaguer and Matías Janick) are fed up with Santa Claus (Andrés Almeida) taking more and more of the limelight and have decided to declare war on him. Unknowingly, this confrontation will awaken a much more dangerous enemy, the Krampus (Adal Ramones). Dormant for centuries, the Krampus is a being that can engulf everything in darkness and threatens to destroy the Christmas spirit.
Playing on the classic rivalry between Santa Claus and the Three Wise Men, Paco Caballero’s Christmas comedy The Three Wise Men vs Santa is a big-budget production filled with magic and creatures that will have you longing for the excitement of Christmas.
