Stratco National Patio Day

Following the successful launch of National Patio Day in 2019, Stratco is partnering with Cancer Council to help more Aussies safely enjoy the great outdoors again on Saturday 5 December 2020.

Cancer Council estimates that two in three Australians will be diagnosed with skin cancer by the time they are 70. Celebrate National Patio Day and help Australians minimise their skin cancer risk. Cancer Council is calling on Australians to kick start summer in style with family, friends and loved ones this Stratco National Patio Day and raise vital funds to support those impacted by cancer.

Now that we are out and about and enjoying outdoor activities again, itโ€™s important that we donโ€™t neglect our skin. Summer is the perfect time to entertain family and friends with backyard barbeques and events, but itโ€™s also when UV can be at its most damaging. Whenever the UV is 3 and above, we should protect our skin in five ways, including seeking shade under your favourite outdoor patio, and National Patio Day is a fantastic initiative which helps to reinforce that message while celebrating the iconic Australian summer lifestyle.

In 2020, National Patio Day hopes to raise $330,000, which will fund vital Cancer Council programs and services across the country.

Not only will funds raised support those impacted by cancer, every $20 you raise puts you in the draw to win a Stratco Home Stadium, valued at $30,000.
