Welcome to Summer Festival 2026!

The 2026 City of West Torrens Summer Festival program kicks off on Saturday 10 January, with five FREE community events running every Saturday from 10 January to 7 February. Enjoy live music, an outdoor cinema, giant water inflatables, finger-licking food and some very big trucks.

What’s on at the City of West Torrens Summer Festival

Open Air Cinema

Enjoy live music and free children’s entertainment before settling in to watch The Wild Robot (PG) on the outdoor screen at 8.45pm. Pack a picnic, enjoy the food trucks and let the kids explore inflatables, face painting, Junkyard Play and the Amazing Drumming Monkeys.

Location: Golflands Reserve, Aroona Ave, Glenelg North

10 January 2026 | 5pm – 10:30pm

Splash!

A morning of water play featuring giant slides, mud activities and glitter tattoos, ideal for kids and families. Take bathers and a towel, and enjoy food, coffee and ice cream available onsite.

Location: Mellor Park Reserve, Lockleys 

17 January 2026 | 9:30am – 1:30pm

All Together Now

Celebrate community with live music and dance by Jambu Loco, African Soul and Cartel Afinke, alongside children’s entertainment including inflatables, CircoBats, PLAI and the Amazing Drumming Monkeys. Bring a picnic or enjoy the food trucks and bar onsite.

Location: Weigall Oval, North Plympton

24 January 2026 | 5pm – 9:30pm

Touch-a-Truck

Get up close to big trucks, ride electric go-karts, explore the BMX track, enjoy inflatables and visit the model train display. A sensory-friendly silent hour runs from 9.30am to 10.30am, with food, coffee and ice cream available for purchase.

Location: Apex Park, West Beach

31 January 2026 | 9:30am – 1:30pm

Music and Markets

Browse market stalls, see the art exhibition, try the rock climbing wall or join the silent disco, with live music and food trucks creating a relaxed summer evening. Designed in partnership with the Youth Advisory Committee, this event features activities for young people aged 12 to 25.
