Summit Regional Adventure Play Space – New Mount Barker Playground.
Mount Barker Council is planning a major new regional adventure playground at the Summit Precinct on Bald Hills Road, alongside the Summit Aquatic and Leisure Centre, Summit Sport and Recreation Park and near Laratinga Wetlands.
The new Summit Regional Adventure Play Space is planned as a destination playground for families, with a focus on adventure, exploration, imaginative play and physical challenges. The design will also draw on the surrounding environment, Laratinga Wetlands, heritage barns and local cultural stories.

Council is currently asking children, young people and families to help shape the new playground, including what types of play equipment, activities and experiences they would like to see.
They want to hear your ideas about the play, challenges and experiences that could make the space somewhere people want to explore and keep on coming back to.
Head along to their community drop-in session at Summit Aquatic and Leisure on Saturday 19 September from 10am to 2pm. Drop in anytime for family-friendly activities, entertainment and a chance to share your ideas.
