Head along to a beary special day at Adelaide Zoo as Giant Pandas Xing Qiu and Yi Lan take centre stage for the annual Teddy Bears’ Picnic. Take along your picnic rug and favourite teddy for a fun-filled day the whole family will love.

Since arriving in December 2024, Xing Qiu and Yi Lan have delighted keepers and visitors alike with their playful antics, winning hearts and inspiring wildlife conservation. Every visit supports Adelaide Zoo’s vital conservation and breeding programs dedicated to protecting this special species.

The Teddy Bears’ Picnic is a highlight on the zoo calendar and is celebrated each year to mark the zoo’s favourite bears’ birthdays. The day is also an opportunity for Giant Panda lovers to learn more about the species and their conservation.
