The Amazing Maths Race 2026: Real‑World Maths Unleashed

Looking for a fun, free family event in Adelaide this June? St Raphael’s School in Parkside is hosting The Amazing Maths Race, a hands-on, high-energy evening where kids and their grown-ups can experience maths in a whole new way.

Forget worksheets this interactive event transforms the school into a series of exciting challenge stations, where families work together to solve problems, crack codes and explore real-world maths concepts like measurement, patterns, geometry and data. It’s active, engaging, and designed to show how maths connects to everyday life.

Perfect for children from kindy to Year 6, the Amazing Maths Race is just as much for parents as it is for kids. You don’t need to feel confident in maths to take part in fact, this event is designed to build confidence, spark curiosity and make learning feel achievable and fun for everyone.

Families will move through the challenges and along the way, you’ll pick up simple, practical ideas to support maths learning at home, and take away a Maths in Action booklet to keep the learning going.
