Celebrate the festive season with a visit to the Hahndorf Christmas Village this December.
This year will be the first time Hahndorf won’t have the annual Christkindlmarkt as part of their Christmas festivities. For the past 10 years, the Hahndorf Christkindlmarkt was a much-loved feature of the Hahndorf Christmas Village, thanks to the incredible dedication of the team at C3 Church Adelaide Hills.
While things will look a little different in 2025, they are excited to share that they will have new experiences to announce very soon, keeping the European Christmas spirit alive in the Hahndorf village.
Santa will be setting up camp for three days in Santa’s Hub at Comida Hahndorf, ready for plenty of photos. The team from Lions Assistance Dogs will also be there, offering gift wrapping for a gold coin donation.
Gathered Christmas Design Market will be relocating to a bigger and more central venue – Alec Johnston Park, right in the heart of Hahndorf’s Main Street. It will offer three days of shopping, food, drinks and festive vibes.
Over at the Hahndorf Academy, there will also be a market on the lawns with local businesses Ambleside Distillers and Comida cooking and serving up paella and gin. They will also have a DJ spinning tunes and lots of fun for the kids.
You’ll also find street performers roaming through the village, and of course, local shops will be staying open late so you can stroll the Main Street on a warm summer night and do some Christmas shopping.
A wonderful event for the whole family to experience and celebrate the rich German heritage of Hahndorf with fun, food and Christmas activities for everyone.
