The Highway – Review

Located on Anzac Highway in Plympton, The Highway is a fantastic venue for family meals, from small groups to large family get togethers. For casual dining, The Highway Bistro offers a family friendly setting with a relaxed atmosphere, ideal for families with children.  Outside you’ll find their Lounge/Deck area with a variety of seating areas including booths, tables with stools and the Hut which is ideal for a group celebration.

The menu has a good selection of traditional pub meals along with a variety of other dishes and daily specials. What is a bit of a surprise is that The Highway has the most beautiful desserts. They take their sweets seriously here which warms our hearts, and their presentation is at fancy restaurant level, and better than some of the offerings we’ve had at some of the top eateries around Adelaide. We tried each dessert on the menu on our last visit and were very satisfied. We totally recommend you save space for this last course.

The hot chocolate was delicious and included a generous serving of mini pink and white marshmallows.

As you can see their desserts are of such a high standard you will have trouble deciding what to choose!

The kids loved the chocolate filled churros – always super popular with little ones.
