St Raphael’s School is turning maths on its head with a family-friendly event designed to bust the myth that you’re either good or bad at maths. “The Maths Movement – Real World Maths Unleashed” invites all families – whether your children attend St Raphael’s School or not – to discover that everyone can be a mathematician.

Experience the myth-busting panel and discover how maths is everywhere: in video games, music, art, finances, and day-to-day life. Learn how positive “maths talk” and everyday numeracy can empower you and your children, break free from maths anxiety, and build confidence for life.

Key Highlights:

• Panel discussion featuring leading maths educators, including representatives from the Primary Mathematics Association of South Australia, Mark Feetham (Flinders University, Achieve Online Tutoring), and Tim Budenberg (President, Mathematical Association of South Australia)
• Interactive activities for the children, unveiling the maths hidden in our daily world
• Learn practical ways to boost confidence, tackle tricky moments, and turn maths into a positive experience at home withinsights and strategies to help children from kindy to year 6 and their carers feel capable and confident with maths.
