My child is ready for school……. I think – it’s the statement many a parent has agonised over as the most precious and important part of their life nears school age and decisions are required that may impact them for many years.
Having met literally hundreds of anxious parents across their combined careers spanning 40 years, School Principal and Literary Specialist Keryn Hinchcliffe and Literary and Early Years Specialist Helen Mansfield understand only too well the plethora of questions and concerns faced by pre-schooler parents.
The pre-school and literary experts have united to share their wealth of experience and knowledge, to address concerns and answer questions from parents in a free, small, informal and interactive session to be held at the offices of The Health Hub in Glenelg on Monday 6 and Wednesday 8 November. Topics to be covered include what school readiness looks like, what to expect in the first few weeks and practical tips to help give your child the best start at school.
Answers to these and many other questions may be discussed:
- Do we send them now or should we wait a while? Is there a difference?
- Is there an impact on their being older or younger for their year in the future?
- They seems so ready but are they really?
- They’re so quiet and shy – will they cope?
- How much should they know before they start? Will they be ahead or behind the rest of the class?
Limited Numbers Per Session, Bookings Are Essential, call 1300 556 766 or 8295 1362.
