Thomas Harkness Reserve Playground | Brompton | Review

Thomas Harkness Reserve Playground – a small, but feature-packed fully fenced playground, great for toddlers.
Review by Claire Davill
This playground sits within a newer section of Brompton, and is a fantastic option for small children for a quick play. The playground is fully fenced with child-safe gate locks and shade sails covering the whole playground.
The main equipment is suitable for toddlers and small children, with a small slide, climbing net, play shop, tunnel, incline scramble wall and a noughts and crosses board.

Nearby there are stepping stones and wombat and echidna springy seats, and there are two small swings as well.

There’s also a small climbing structure to keep older children occupied. This includes circular ladders, nets, a climbing wall and tall monkey bars.

Just outside of the fenced area there is a picnic table and barbeques, and an interesting sculpture to explore.

Things to Consider:
- This is a small playground, and only suitable for shorter plays.
- There are no toilets in the reserve. The nearest toilets are located 700 metres away on Hawker Street at Brompton Green, or 900 metres away at Parfitt Square on Fourteenth Avenue Bowden.
Our favourite nearby coffee spots/cafes:
Lunar Landing Cafe is a 2 minute drive away, on Hawker Street.
Location:
Spurs Avenue, Brompton. Access also available from Cappers Drive, and off street parking on Mann Drive.
