Alfred Street Playground | Walkerville Oval

Walkerville Oval Playground

You’d be easily forgiven for having missed this lovely little playground tucked away behind the Walkerville Oval. An upgrade in 2019 has seen it become a real drawcard for local families looking for a nice, quiet spot for the kids to let off some steam.

Filled with lots of brightly coloured play equipment for the kindy and pre-schoolers, the real big ticket item here is the towering orange tubular slide for the more adventurous visitors.

A web of rope nets lead to the top of the slide and the kids will love ‘spiderman-ing’ their way to the top of the tower and speeding down the tube. When the older kids tire of the tower, they can also have a kick of the footy on the oval, play on the council tennis courts or in the cricket bowling nets and still be within eye sight of parents.
