Weber Bros Presents The Circus l Review

Weber Bros Presents The Circus, Review

By Jo Parkinson

Weber Bros Circus’s amazing acts will entertain and excite kids and adults of all ages. Combining humour, glamour, and death-defying stunts, it’s a great show that has something for everyone.

It’s always fun when the circus comes to town! Right now, the southern area of Noarlunga is lucky enough to host Weber Bros Circus, before it moves out North to Elizabeth at the end of the month. We went to check it out and here’s why we think you should too.

Our three kids aged 9, 7 and 3 were super excited when they saw the giant red and white striped Big Top, situated on Beach Road near Colonnades Shopping Centre and couldn’t wait to get inside. There was plenty of room for car parking right out the front which was convenient.

Tickets can be purchased online or at the box office. Once checked, we bought some popcorn and drinks from the food van. There was also fairy floss and slushies available too. A face paint stall was set up at the entrance, so if you think your kids would like to have theirs done, it might be worth getting there early. Portable toilets are also located out the front.

The Show

This two-hour, fun-filled show is hosted by the glamourous and glittery host, Kianna. Be amazed as you watch the human cannonball soar 25 metres through the air and admire the grace and skill of the trapeze artist. The Wheel of Death was a highlight, our 7-year-old was busting with excitement saying, “It’s so dangerous I’m sweating!”.  FMX bike jumps were also impressive, and something our 9-year-old really enjoyed. There are no animals in this show.

Each act is thrilling and performed with precision and expertise. Music is played in the background, which keeps the energy lifted. It’s quite loud so it doesn’t matter if you have a kid like mine who got really excited with each act and kept yelling, “Look mum!”. There is also one extra loud act that has whips cracking, so if you or your child have noise sensitivities, it might be a good idea to bring some earmuffs. There is a 15-minute interval to stretch your legs or grab some snacks from the food van.

Clowns separate each act as a distraction, as they set up for the next. They were interactive with the audience and got a lot of laughs. Our three-year-old thought he was afraid of clowns before the circus, however, after watching these clowns, he now refers to them as his friends!

The best act is left for last, the Globe of Death, featuring several motorbikes spinning around and around. It certainly has you on the edge of your seat, as you appreciate the amount of skill that goes into an act like that.

Weber Bros Circus is a show not to be missed, so get your family and friends and check it out. Seeing the pure delight on kids’ faces as they witness extraordinary acts makes it worth every cent!
