Westpac Animal Play Day at Monarto Zoo
The Monarto Zoo’s popular Westpac Animal Play Day is back at Monarto Zoo and this time it is all about noses.
Learn how animals use their sense of smell to eat, explore their environment and communicate.
Animals in nature have to work for a living, to find food, to make nests, to find shelter and even to play!
However, life for the animals at the zoo is a little more comfortable than in the wild. That’s why the zookeepers at Monarto use enrichment to create variety in work and play, ensuring an environment that allows for physical and mental choices and challenges.
Join the fun at Monarto Zoo for an all day showcase of animal enrichment activities during their Westpac Animal Play Day to see how they stimulate the animals’ ‘wild’ behaviours.
