The Good Dinosaur asks the question: “What if the asteroid that forever changed life on Earth missed the planet completely and giant dinosaurs never became extinct?”
Disney Pixar Animation Studios takes you on an epic journey into the world of dinosaurs where an Apatosaurus named Arlo (voice of Raymond Ochoa) makes an unlikely human friend.
While travelling through a harsh and mysterious landscape, Arlo learns the power of confronting his fears and discovers what he is truly capable of.

Play & Go Movie Review
The Good Dinosaur a beautiful film of friendship, family and love, set within an epic adventure; filled with danger and interesting characters along the way. The relationship between Arlo and his human pet, Spot, is adorable. It shows that language and differences are no barrier to friendship and kindness. This is a Disney film so of course, brace yourself for a death. It is always to be expected. There are heart warming teary bits and funny moments along the way in this great adventure movie. It’s visually spectacular with the mountain scenery. The fireflies scene is just gorgeous and is a reminder of how some moments with your children will give them treasured memories and new learnt experiences they can share.
Some scenes, including lightning and thunderstorms; animals fighting, as well as some nasty characters may frighten little ones. Children won’t really understand the hallucination scene when Arlo and Spot accidentally eat fruit that’s not so good for you. Following from other Disney Pixar films, the importance of family as a theme is very strong. This is a great movie for all ages and is sure to be a hit this Summer.
The short film preceding The Good Dinosaur is Sanjay’s Super Team, a very interesting story of a young boy’s learning of his father’s Hindu culture; likening the Hindu deities to the cartoon superheroes he worshipped from watching tv. The only thing is the scenes where the Hindu deities come to life, are quite ferocious and may look very scary to little ones. You can read more about the story behind this short film here.
