The Barossa Gourmet Weekend
The annual Barossa Gourmet Weekend has captured the hearts of visitors to the Barossa for over 30 years. The celebration of this world class food and wine destination is complemented by the Barossa spirit of hospitality. The Gourmet Discovery is a celebration of the region’s extraordinary growers, makers, chefs and craftspeople.
Here’s a selection of family-friendly Barossa Gourmet weekend events.
Poh, Pizza and Paella at Lindsay Wine Estate
Under her newly minted Jamface brand, Poh of Masterchef fame has recently opened a cafe in the Central Markets and is now heading to Lindsay Wine Estate, located in the heart of the Barossa, for Gourmet Weekend. Poh and her Jamface team will be serving up rustic naples style pan fried pizza as well as her famous seafood Paella. Food will be available from 11am along with Lindsay Estate wines on Saturday and Sunday, with Sunday featuring SA pop-up record store “Crackle & Pop” for an unforgettable session.
Greenock Gourmet Day
Featuring family friendly entertainment for kids and adults! Includes live music, bouncy castle, face painting and activities… Share a glass of wine with local winemakers from Murray Street Vineyards, Kalleske Wines, Ballycroft Vineyard and Cellars and Izway Wines. Or try a brew from local Greenock Brewers! Enjoy a stroll around Artisans at Greenock who will be conveniently situated in one central location for you to peruse your favourite foods and wine. Barossa’s Biggest Picnic at Peter Lehmann Wines
Peter Lehmann invites you to attend Barossa’s Biggest Picnic – and you don’t need to bring a thing! Pick your own gourmet picnic adventure showcasing food and wine from Barossa’s local producers. Whether Hutton Vale Spring Lamb, Barossa Valley Cheese Co. Baked Camembert or Eleni’s Hand Made Pie, this is a spring feast you won’t want to miss.
Spend the afternoon lounging on picnic blankets under our old gumtrees as The Atlantic Street Band & The Fiddle Chicks serenade the crowd. Head to Chateau Tanunda for Snags, Shiraz and Songs
Come for a gourmet sausage making demonstration at 11.30am by Barossa’s famous Saskia Beer, and stay to enjoy the gourmet home made selection for lunch! Get dancing to the songs of the crowd pleasing “Baker Boys Band” while enjoying the ambience of the Château and beautiful grounds. Château Tanunda premium wines along with Barossa Valley Brewing Beer & Barossa Cider available for enjoyment throughout the day.
