Westbourne Park Primary School will be celebrating its 100 year milestone when it holds its Centenary Fair on the 26th of October 2014.
Celebrating its centenary this year, Westbourne Park Primary School will host ‘The Centenary Weekend’ to mark 100 years of teaching excellence and as a celebration of this important milestone.
The weekend will commence on Friday 24th October with the Old Scholars Reunion including tours, the Old Scholars Assembly (where old scholars will be dismissed one last time by the principal) and finishing with a social event. A highlight of the reunion is the Centenary Exhibition which will be held in the school hall from 1 to 6pm and will feature submissions from each of the current classes, photographs and captions submitted by past students, memorabilia and the contents of past time capsules. The School’s Centenary book will be launched at this event too and will be available for purchase at the reunion and the fair.
The Centenary Fair will be held on Sunday 26th October from 10am to 3pm and will offer the following:
- Kids can meet ABC Kids favourite, Peppa Pig at 10.30am
- sideshows
- face painting
- fashion parades
- musical performances
- gourmet food stalls
- a chocolate wheel
- silent auction
- white elephant stall
- competitions
- and enjoy the ‘Centenary Trail’ which will include giveaways from many of the stalls.
