Lot 100 Adelaide Hills

A visit to Lot 100 in the Adelaide Hills

If you’re looking for a spot to stop for a fabulous meal in the Adelaide Hills where the kids can run around, then be sure to add Lot 100 to your list.

Lot 100 is a working craft brewery and small batch distillery, set on an 84 hectare property nestled in the Adelaide Hills, just north of Nairne.  With picturesque views from every corner, this former cattle pasture has been transformed into a modern venue suitable for hosting a variety of events, from beautiful weddings to casual catch ups with family and friends.

This food and beverage destination is the perfect place for families with a huge expanse of green grass to play on, outdoor games such as Jenga and Connect 4, plus complimentary picnic blankets to use for a little siesta in the sun!  The dining options include the restaurant or courtyard, plus they also opened a tasting room this year.

We chose the casual courtyard option for our family group lunch during the Christmas holidays, so we could sit outside and the kids could play on the grass within view. The shared lunch set menu included an Italian style feast of antipasto, wood oven pizzas, sides, dish of the day from the kitchen and a delicious dessert.

It’s a real long lunch kind of day! ?

Drink options for adults include a selection of wines from Vinteloper, Hills Cider Co, Mismatch Brewing Co and Adelaide Hills Distillery.  For the little ones or your designated driver for the day, there are refreshing juices from Ashton Valley Fresh, premium quality fruit juice with no added flavours, colours, sugars or concentrates.

Kids can have their own tasting experience with a Fruit Juice Flight or Sparkling Fruit Juice Flight. Our little taste tester tried the Sparkling one which included these flavours: Apple Spritzer, Apple & Strawberry, Apple & Pineapple and Lemon Squash.

After lunch, the kids once again made their way back to the games and we also wandered down to take a look at the impressive vegetable garden.  On the other side of the fence you’ll also find a few friendly goats to say hello to – one in particular loved the attention!

Be sure to have your camera ready – the surrounds make for the perfect photo backdrop, especially the cute wooden bridge. You are free to stroll around the property and explore – a great way to stretch your legs and walk off lunch!
