Route 31 Coastal Drive from O’Sullivan Beach to Sellicks Beach
McLaren Vale and Fleurieu Coast is home to a new tourist drive showcasing 31 kilometres of idyllic coastline that starts less than an hour from Adelaide.
Pack up the car for a weekend getaway or set off on a leisurely Sunday road trip to experience some of South Australia’s most spectacular beaches. The Route 31 Coastal Drive will take you along 31kms of our beautiful coastline from O’Sullivan Beach to Sellicks Beach and everywhere in between. This stunning stretch of coastline is an ideal road trip for visitors to South Australia and locals alike, with lots of spots to stop along the way.
Officially launched in March 2022 by City of Onkaparinga Acting Mayor Marion Themeliotis, she said
“This is the only place in Australia where pristine beaches and unique seaside villages are part of an internationally recognised wine and food region within 40 minutes of a capital city”
There is so much to see, do and explore along this scenic drive and it offers something all year round including swimming, surfing, kayaking, paddle-boarding, fishing and diving. When you stop to explore the coastal townships along the way there is plenty of wining and dining, shopping, arts, culture and history for people of all ages to enjoy.
