The Southern Lights Special – Christmas Train Ride | 20 & 21 Dec 2025
Enjoy a night on the Southern Lights Special train with SteamRanger.
Your new Christmas tradition is back again to light up the Fleurieu Coast, and celebrate the Christmas season. The SteamRanger Southern Express train will depart Victor Harbor at 5:30pm bound for Goolwa, arriving at 6:05pm.
At Goolwa, enjoy a Christmas concert starting at 6pm and Floating Flotilla (at Goolwa Wharf) from 8.45pm. Plus lots of family friendly activities, face painting, food trucks and more, thanks to the Goolwa Community Group.
The return train will depart Goolwa at 10pm and arrive back in Victor Harbor at 10:35pm.
*Train can stop at Port Elliot and Middleton on request.

Christmas Artisan Market Illumination Train
Continuing on from the success of the Easter and Halloween Markets, the team at the Victor Harbor Artisan Market will host their Christmas Market in December and what better way to get there, than on board the SteamRanger Illumination Train!
The train will depart Goolwa at 6:15pm and arrive in Victor Harbor at 6:45pm
Once in Victor Harbor you can enjoy the Artisan Christmas Markets and free entry into the National Trust Museum to see their new ‘Shipwrecks of South Australia’ exhibit.
The return train will depart Victor Harbor at 9pm and arrive back in Goolwa at 9:35pm.
