Dollyโs Dream is committed to changing the culture of bullying by addressing the impact of bullying, anxiety, depression and youth suicide, through education and direct support to young people and families.
On Friday 10 May 2024 they are calling on you to help make Dollyโs own dream of a kinder and safer world for Australiaโs kids and communities a reality.
This year, theyโre asking people to simply:

Dress or decorate in blue, Dolly’s favourite colour.

Help support anti-bullying initiatives and stop other precious lives being lost to bullying.

Around one in four Australian school children are bullied and one in five are cyber bullied each year.
But itโs not only our kids who are impacted โ around 45 million bullying incidents take place across Australiaโs schools annually and it costs our whole community greatly. And for those who lose a loved one because of it, the cost is immeasurable.

Dollyโs Dream was created by Kate and Tick Everett following the shattering loss of their 14-year-old daughter, Dolly, to suicide, after ongoing bullying. Kate and Tickโs goal is to prevent other families walking this road. They want to change the culture of bullying by addressing the impact of bullying, anxiety, depression and youth suicide, through education and direct support to young people and families. Dollyโs Dream is proudly brought to you by the Alannah & Madeline Foundation.
