Anembo Park Playground | Littlehampton | Review

Anembo Park Playground in Littlehampton is a Hills family favourite with play options for all ages and abilities.

Review by Adaire Prosser

One of our favourite playgrounds in the Adelaide Hills, Anembo Park Playground has a mix of equipment for all ages and abilities. For the young ones, there is a shaded toddler playground with a slide and steps to practice climbing. It is mostly enclosed, so you don’t need to fear them slipping off the edge.

There are swing options including a net swing and baby swing, and our one year old reviewer loves the jeep style spring car with plenty of seating room and more than one steering wheel. Located behind the green jeep is a music wall that will appeal to all ages.

The cubby house also appeals to all ages, with plenty of openings to peek out of and benches inside.

In addition to all the toddler friendly options, there is lots to keep the bigger kids busy. Play equipment with multiple options for climbing and balancing will challenge all abilities. The combination of logs and ropes promote coordination as the kids need to change position to keep balance. Our three year old reviewer is a confident climber, and enjoys testing his abilities on this loop set up. Those who are not as confident can still climb one of the ladders to access the bridge and slide.

The Anembo park grounds are a popular spot, with multiple sporting fields and tennis courts and even a bmx track. The toilets are within walking distance, and bbq facilities are next to the playground.

Things to Consider:

  • The playground is fenced from the main road, but there is a lot of traffic within the grounds to be aware of.
  • To access the toilets, you will need to cross the carpark/ park driveway.
  • There is a small creek close to the playground, so keep an eye on little wanderers.

Our favourite nearby coffee spots/cafes:

  • There is occasionally a van parked on the edge of the grounds on Old Princes Highway that sells coffee and bacon and egg rolls.
  • There is a café a short drive away in Totness, otherwise grab a coffee in nearby Littlehampton.
  • The Littlehampton Market Place Café is a great spot to grab something to eat before or after your play.

Location:

Old Princes Hwy, Littlehampton. There is carparking available within the recreation grounds.
