My Christmas, by Isabella Evangelou l Book Review

It’s almost that time of year again.. Christmas decorations are starting to appear in shopping malls, the weather is warming up, and children are beginning to put together Christmas wish lists.

We have found the sweetest little Christmas book to add to this year’s list! Written and published by local Adelaide author Isabella Evangelou, ‘My Christmas’ tells of a family’s Christmas traditions, and what the season means to them. It includes all the fun things that many families enjoy doing together during the festive season, such as decorating the tree, cooking, and driving around looking at Christmas lights.

What we love about this book is that it is relevant to us here in Australia, and children will relate to it. No talk of cold weather or jingle bells to be found in this book! Instead, it celebrates an Aussie Christmas and making memories with the people you love.

The illustrations are bright and colourful and will easily engage young children. It can be used to prompt conversations with each other about what Christmas means in your own family, and what your favourite things are.

We recommend adding this gorgeous book to your Christmas collection, reading it may even become a tradition in your family!
