Australian Toys Exhibition | Bay Discovery Centre | Nov 2025 – Feb 2026

Australian Toys 1880-1965: The Luke Jones Collection on display in Glenelg.

Step back in time and see Australian toys of yesteryear at the Bay Discovery Centre.  From cars to boardgames, visitors can explore one of Australia’s best private toy collections in this exhibition, officially open from Saturday 1 November 2025.

There are more than 300 individual items on display, from tin plate trucks to carousel horses and everything in between.

The exhibition is on display in the ground floor gallery of the Bay Discovery Centre which is open daily between 10am – 4pm. Entry is via donation.

The exhibition will remain at Glenelg until February 2026.

Parking near Jetty Road:

There are currently roadworks along Jetty Road and the tram is temporarily not travelling to Glenelg (due to return in January 2026), so here is where you can park:

  • New 15-minute parks – keep an eye out for signage
  • Street parking on Nile Street, Sussex Street, Colley Terrace and Moseley Street
  • Event Cinemas carpark [2 hours free, or 4 with a movie ticket]
  • Elizabeth Street carpark
  • All-day FREE parking in the Partridge Street east car park
