Grünthal Brew Family Friendly Dining | Verdun | Review

Grünthal Brew offers relaxed family friendly dining with outdoor space to play, all in scenic Verdun just off the South Eastern Freeway.

One of our favourite places to go out for a family lunch or dinner is Grünthal Brew, a microbrewery and eatery in the Adelaide Hills. Just near the roundabout after the Hahndorf exit, Grünthal offers both indoor and outdoor dining, a function room, and a lovely outdoor area to keep the kids entertained. There is a wooden boat set on a sandpit, a large cubby house and a creek to explore. 

There is a large grassed area with shaded tables set apart among the space, and gardens with secret paths to explore. 

There is a range of dining options including high tea, lunch, and dinner offering a dedicated kids menu, pizza and sharing options. If you have a kid that will only eat nuggets and chips, you will be pleased to know that they are quality tenders. 

For the drink lovers, there is a range of beer and cider brewed on-site, as well as gin, spiced rum and other spirits. They also stock Hesketh Wines and the Udder Delights cheese range. 

While summer is our favourite time to visit, we have also been in colder weather which is still enjoyable with fires and heaters outside, or the option of indoor dining.

Grünthal Brew is located on 827 Mt Barker Road, Verdun. Just turn left at the roundabout on the Hahndorf exit if you are coming from Adelaide. Parking is located on site.
