Gelato Bello 30th Anniversary Celebration Weekend | 10 & 11 Oct 2026
One of Adelaide’s most loved gelaterias, Gelato Bello, is celebrating 30 years of serving authentic Sicilian-style gelato with a special anniversary weekend celebrating 1996 prices at its flagship Glynde store.
To thank the community for three decades of support, Gelato Bello will host a nostalgia-filled celebration weekend featuring 30 per cent off all gelato, extended opening hours, and the return of some of the store’s most iconic flavours from the past three decades, which include Golden Gaytime, Banana Cream Pie, Cherry Ripe and Lemon Meringue Pie.
Over the celebration weekend, the first 100 customers will be able to purchase gelato at the original 1996 prices, with scoops available for $3. The anniversary celebrations will also feature several nostalgic touches, including the use of original gelato spoons and a display of vintage cups and packaging.

Owner Marcus Nardone said the milestone was an opportunity to celebrate both the business’ roots and the generations of customers who have supported the store over the years.
“Reaching 30 years is an incredible achievement and a testament to the support of our local community,” Marcus said.
“Many of our customers first came to Gelato Bello as children and are now bringing in their own families. We wanted to create a celebration that honours the memories people have of the store while showcasing how far we’ve come.”
“For one weekend only, we’ll be stepping back in time with our classic flavours, original packaging and even some of our team wearing the original uniforms. It’s our way of celebrating the Gelato Bello story.”
Today, Gelato Bello remains committed to the traditional Sicilian methods established by its founders, with approximately 95 per cent of ingredients sourced locally, including nuts from the Adelaide Hills, milk and cream from South Australian dairy farmers, and fresh fruit from local markets.
Following a major renovation and rebrand completed two years ago, the business has continued to grow under the stewardship of the Nardone family. Beyond its Glynde retail store, Gelato Bello now operates an events service, which includes a popular gelati cart, catering for over 200 events throughout the summer period, including festivals, weddings, corporate events and community celebrations. Gelato Bello’s event offerings are continuing to grow with an exciting new offering, focused on authentic, freshly served tiramisu, coming soon.
